FASD Prevention Conversation: A Shared Responsibility

Adolescent Facilitator

The Adolescent Prevention Facilitator increases awareness and prevention of FASD in South East Alberta.

Through various presentations, workshops, training opportunities, conversations and the use of social media engaging health and social service providers, educators, and community agencies, the Adolescent Prevention Facilitator increases FASD awareness and prevention across South East Alberta within the adolescent population, specifically those 12-17 years old.

Through customized conversations and training, adolescents 12-17 years are supported through discussions on:
  • safer drinking guidelines
  • safer sexual practices including birth control and consent
  • cannabis
  • preventing FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder)
The training can be customized to accommodate any audience.
