Adult Mentorship
The Adult Mentoring program is based in Medicine Hat but provides service to the entire region. To support this priority the Network enhances the capacity and scope of the existing mentoring/coaching services at REDI by expanding both geographically and across the lifespan.
An enhancement to an existing service, this program serves to assist individuals as they mature into adulthood. The primary goal is to remain involved during this transition until a satisfactory support network is in place

The FASD Adult Mentorship program supports individuals aged 16 and older that have suspected or confirmed Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. Providing outreach supports, this program supports individuals in multiple ways, such as applying for financial supports, securing housing, budgeting, mental health and addictions supports, support with medical and professional appointments, and daily living activities such as grocery shopping. This program also supports individuals with community inclusion, physical activities, and creative interests.
The FASD Justice Support Program is another program specifically for individuals that have suspected or confirmed Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder that are going through the justice system. Individuals ages 16 and up that have upcoming or ongoing criminal charges are eligible for this program. With collaboration with the Solicitor General, we are able to navigate and advocate for individuals to receive appropriate sentencing that they are able to follow through and be successful with. The goal of the program is to reduce recidivism, connect individuals to community resources and supports, and to educate the community of FASD.
